That They May Be One is intended to encourage all Christians to be instruments of unity through the power of the Holy Spirit.
On the night before He died, Jesus prayed to the Father for our unity, “That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (Jn 17:21).
We need no greater reason to seek unity, yet we believe there is more. The Lord calls us to unity today because He knows how much we need one another to stand strong in Him amidst great conflict and to reach a world desperate for salvation.
That They May Be One portrays a challenging message on pursuing unity, yet a message full of hope and God’s love.
We pray that all the viewers of this film will be touched in some way by the power of God. We pray that they will be encouraged (filled with courage) to seek unity through prayer and action. We also pray that the Holy Spirit, who is the one who unites God’s people, will be drawn to fill the hearts of those pursuing unity in Christ, and that the blessing the Lord has commanded in Psalm 133 will be ours.
This documentary addresses very deep pain points that many Christians have received and themselves also inflicted by treating other Christians with disdain or even at arm’s length. This documentary offers a way out through the grace of God who teaches us and empowers us to love one another with humility.
